About this treatment

Common skin lesions can be treated in seconds using 3 steps, first freeze, thaw for 30 seconds, second freeze. Each freeze is from 5 to 30 seconds depending on the size and depth of the lesion.

Treatment time can be as little as 40 seconds. The procedure destroys unwanted tissue by the precise application of extreme cold through tissue necrosis.

The CryoPen device freezes skin lesions to -89 degrees using high pressured nitrous oxide. This freezing action cuts off the blood supply during this process, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Because it precisely treats the lesion and not the surrounding healthy tissue, it can therefore safely treat lesions on the face and around the eyes.

The CryoPen is CE and FDA registered.

Before & After

FAQ

Generally, there is little to no discomfort during Cryosurgery. However, you may feel a slight stinging sensation for deeper lesions. This will subside in seconds or within a few minutes.

Although Cryosurgery is a low-risk procedure, some side effects may occur after treatment.

After the procedure, the lesion may appear red, and on occasion blister. Dry healing is required after the procedure.

Cryopen delivers exceptional results for the complete removal of all benign skin lesions in as little as 1-3 sessions depending on how long you have had the lesion. Multiple sessions may be required for more stubborn deeper lesions such as Verrucae.

Once the lesion is destroyed, no maintenance is required.

A follow up treatment is recommended 2-3 weeks after your procedure to assess if all pathological tissue has been destroyed. If not, this may require additional treatment.

Prices start from £50. The exact cost of your treatment will be confirmed following your consultation.
